Kouba Walk!
We went on a walk around the neighborhood. We wanted the butterflies to get an appreciation of the local area, and to learn a bit about Bisai, and to tie it in to the school art project. We looked at some nokogiri kouba and we talked about streetlights and lamp poles and manhole covers. Some of the manhole covers have the old Bisai symbol. We saw some persimmons drying, and animal tracks in a drainage canal.
